What makes this program different from other summer programs?
FAMADEA is a structured, selective program focused on leadership, culture, and real-world engagement. Students are placed in environments that require them to think, communicate, and carry themselves with professionalism.
Who is this program designed for?
The program is designed for high school students who are open to growth, willing to engage in a structured environment, and interested in developing leadership and real-world readiness.
What does a typical day look like?
Each day is structured and includes guided learning, applied experiences, and opportunities for reflection and development. The program maintains a consistent, intentional rhythm throughout the three weeks.
What will students gain from this experience?
Students develop confidence, communication skills, leadership capacity, and the ability to navigate real-world environments with greater awareness and presence.
What is the final project?
Fellows work collaboratively to examine a real-world societal issue and develop a structured, solution-oriented response, which is presented during the FAMADEA Summit.
How selective is the program?
The cohort is limited to 15 Fellows. We are intentional about building a group of students who will engage meaningfully with the program and with each other.
Where is the program located?
The program will take place in the south suburbs. Final site details are shared with enrolled families.
Are there opportunities for support?
Some schools are able to support student participation using funds designated for enrichment, leadership development, or summer programming. Families are encouraged to check with their school to explore available options. Additional support opportunities may become available in the future.
